American News – Breaking News, Political News and Updates
During Barack Obama’s presidency, he placed millions of people of welfare, forcing hardworking Americans to foot their bill. Of course, there are some Americans who are truly in need of assistance—but the people who are willing to sit back and milk the system need to be stopped.
A group of welfare abuses in Georgia learned the hard way that their free rides were over. New rules were put in place in Georgia forcing able-bodied adults without Children to find jobs in order to be given food stamps. When the group did not find jobs in time, their food stamps were taken away. They were not happy about it.
Still, many support the initiative. State Rep. David Clarke argues that it is time for the state to crack down on those abusing the welfare system.
“This is going to make people step up and look for a job,” he said, adding that he intends to support legislation expected next session to expand the work requirement for food stamps to the entire state.
What do you think? Do you agree able-bodied adults should be required to work?
In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, a retired CBS journalist told him he was ‘bad for America.” Apparently, Ted Koppel thinks the American people are helpless in distinguishing between facts and opinions, because he argued that when Hannity shares his opinions Fox News viewers takes them as reality.
“We have to give some credit to the American people that they are somewhat intelligent and that they know the difference between an opinion show and a news show,” Hannity responded. “You’re cynical.”
“I am cynical,” Koppel responded.
“Do you think we’re bad for America? You think I’m bad for America?” Hannity pushed.
“Yeah,” Koppel answered bluntly.
“You do? Really?” Hannity responded, clearly astounded.
“In the long haul I think you and all these opinion shows…” Koppel began, but Hannity jumped in.
“That’s sad, Ted. That’s sad,” he responded.
“No, you know why? Because you’re very good at what you do, and because you have attracted a significantly more influential—you have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts,” Koppel concluded.

Ever since Donald Trump became President of the United States, there has been a group working relentlessly to bring him down. Last week, it became very apparent that people are still actively gunning for him when FBI Director James Comey testified before Congress that there was no evidence Trump was ever wiretapped by Barack Obama.
Just days later, House Intelligence Chair Devin Nunes announced that he had—in fact—seen evidence that Trump was wiretapped by the Obama administration after he won the election.
As if that weren’t enough, Newt Gingrich appeared on the Lou Dobbs shoe to confirm that the Deep State does exist. During his interview, he confirmed that the Deep State is made up of career bureaucrats.
“They’re deliberately trying to sabotage the Trump administration, something which is going on today,” Gingrich said in his interview. “Remember, 97% of donations given by Justice Department employees went to Hillary Clinton. Ninety-seven percent. So who do you think their bias is in favor of? I think it’s just an objective reality that you have a Deep state, that that Deep State is permanent, long term, career bureaucrats, and they will do almost anything, including breaking the law, to try to undermine the Trump administration.”

In the past month alone, three intruders have jumped the fence at the White House. One of them even managed to evade the Secret Service on the estate’s grounds for 17 minutes. Now, President Donald Trump is making some serious changes to the Secret Service—and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.
The Washington Examiner has reported that Trump is preparing to name a new Secret Service director and for the first time ever, the agency chief will be coming from outside the service.
Sources believe Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, a retired Marine general and former head of U.S. Central Command, will name another general to head the Secret Service. The Trump administration is hoping new direction can help impose more rigorous discipline, two sources told reporters.
No 26-year-old should be able to successfully make it to the back door of the White House, as Jonathan Tran did just weeks ago when he arrived on the doorstep and announced he had an appointment with the president. Six Uniformed Division officers are facing disciplinary action for their inability to detain the young man faster.
What do you think? Is this a smart move on Trump’s part?
During Barack Obama’s presidency, millions of Americans were put on welfare. For some, these benefits are an absolute necessity. For others, it is a way to thrive off of the earnings of hardworking Americans without lifting a finger.
The video below shows just how far people are willing to go to abuse the system. The clip shows a proud welfare leech bragging about the fact that she has never needed a job. You heard that right—this woman has never worked a day in her life because she’s been perfectly happy freeloading off of her fellow Americans.
This is exactly why we need a law and order president like Donald Trump. He has made it clear that he intends to get people off of the system and on to being self-sufficient.
In the past two years, Trey Gowdy has earned a name for himself among conservatives in the United States as a protector of justice and American values. The U.S. Representative from South Carolina has been paramount in prosecuting corrupt politicians and digging deep to get to the bottom of scandals.
Gowdy is tired of the corruption in our government—especially when it comes to questions of Russian involvement at the DNC and the shadow government left behind by Barack Obama. The lack of accountability has never been more apparent, and Gowdy has had enough of it.
In a recent interview with TIME Magazine, Mandy Gonsales told TIME Magazine that the days of letting this criminal activity to be brushed under the rug are over.
“Mr. Gowdy wants to know the truth,” she commented. “He hates it when there are lies and deceit going around. In this case, the Obama shadow government is doing everything it can to protect Hillary Clinton and hide the fact that the Russian connection is with the DNC, not with Donald Trump.”
“Gowdy will bring all of the major players—including Clinton, Obama, and FBI Director Comey—in front of his committee to find out exactly what’s going on,” Gonsales continued.
When a reporter recently tracked down Barack Obama on the golf course to ask about Gowdy, Obama responded, “Let me be clear. I’m no longer President of the United States. What I do is my business as long as it’s legal. Collusion with the Russians is Trump’s gig. You should be talking to him.”
What do you think of this? Are you confident Gowdy will be successful in exposes the corruption in the system?
Ever since Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been on a mission to discredit and take down Donald Trump. Just a few days ago, she took to her personal social media account to bash the president.
“Let’s just grow up,” she tweeted. “President Trump cannot be allowed to feel as if he can simply say whatever he wants, despite lack of evidence.”
Of course, the statement is extraordinarily ironic coming from Pelosi—and that irony did not get past Twitter users. It didn’t take long for her pathetic attack to completely backfire.
“Yes, Ms. Pelosi. Let’s grow up and legislate for the good of the country. Not obstruct for the good of your part or sp int’s,” @ColeEctorIII tweeted.
[email protected] ha ha you do it all the time. What a hypocrite you are,” @kevindandy1 added.
One twitter user even went to specifics, tweeting: [email protected] you said Obamacare was the way to go, without a shred of evidence supporting your position. Hell, you never read the bill.”
What do you think? Is Pelosi quickly losing the support of the American public with her insane attacks?
For years, our country’s welfare system has been riddled with fraud and abuse. It’s been frustrating for hardworking American taxpayers to watch the government refuse to take a stand even when abuse runs rampant. Those who take advantage of our welfare system deserve to see consequences for their actions.
Take a look at Helen Agbapuruonwu, for instance. Agbapuruonwu allegedly collected more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded welfare benefits, cashing in her monthly checks while her husband brought in millions of dollars as a Washington, D.C. attorney. Fidelis Agbapuruonwu, her husband, was earning $1.5 million per year from his law practice, working for the prestigious Mayer Brown Law Firm. In 2001, he was even awarded the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship award.
When authorities investigated Agbapuruonwu over the course of six months, they discovered she had been collecting Medicaid and food stamps for the past six years. Not surprisingly, her husband—who is of Nigerian descent—lost his job after the incident. After the investigation began, he fled the United States and is now somewhere in Africa.
Agbapuruonwu’s defense attorney refused to comment on the felony welfare fraud case. She is not disclosing her husband’s whereabouts.
“We hope it sends a message that if you are taking public assistance it’s truly intended for those in need, and we’re committed to ensuring those who need the most help receive it,” Ashley Savage, Arlington County Police spokeswoman said of the investigation.
This is just one of many similar welfare fraud cases in our country. Are you happy to see authorities cracking down on these criminals?
According to The Gateway Pundit, the city of Clichy, which is located just a few minutes from Paris, spun into chaos on Wednesday when officials closed a temporary mosque.
Two years ago, the major announced that he intended to close the mosque to build a library. Even though he gave the Muslim community years’ notice, they still weren’t satisfied.
After the city officially sealed the doors of the mosque, hundreds of Muslims blocked the streets to pray. They were shouted “Allahu Akbar,” which was unsettling following the attack that had happened in London just hours earlier.
We’ve seen first-hand just how dangerous blocking traffic with protests can be. What do you think of this incident?

At the beginning of the year, Hollywood star Meryl Streep made headlines for bashing Donald Trump during her speech at the Golden Globes. Now, Streep’s public political attack on the president is coming back to haunt her.
New reports indicate that Streep lost a major motion picture role because she was seen as being “too political.” Producers opted to go with actress Glenn Close instead—a less controversial choice.
The movie is about Hillary Clinton and her life. Close, a legendary actress in her own right, will be playing the former first lady and presidential candidate.
“Glenn and Meryl [Streep]’s names were both mentioned a lot but after Meryl got so political at the Golden Globes, producers thought it might be better to go with Close,” a source confirmed.
What do you think? Did Streep get what she deserved?
